What are good desktops for CAD and design under 600?

Q. I'm looking for a cheap solution, I need a cheap computer that can run programs such as autocad, google sketchup, adobe photo shop, illustrator, etc... Without any lag &Under $600... A monitor is not needed.

A. Dell is probably going to be your best bet, then HP

What would be the best CAD software for dental office design?
Q. Information I would have beforehand would be things like the dimensions of the land to be built on and the number and what kind of rooms the building would need. The program needs to at least be able to do floor plans of a dental office, but I would like to be able to expand later and be able to do things like plan a heating/AC system and maybe do some architectural planning.

A. The best software out there would be Autodesk AutoCAD. You can download a "student version" off from their website which will allow you to use it without paying for it.

Heres the download link:

Another design program that is free is Google SketchUp. This allows you to create buildings and rooms. It's not so much CAD though.

What's the best way to get a CAD (computer aided draft/design) job at an enrty level?
Q. I have been searching endlessly and emailing resumes/ filling apps online and I can't find a way to get into this field. Everything I find requires minimum 2 years experience... I've tried temp services, monster, craigslist... Any CAD Designers have any suggestions or advice on how to get my foot in the door?! (i am college certified as designer/operator by the way)

A. One thing is to search for jobs, or write 'open applications' to companies that you know that use CAD designers / operators.

Not always do they advertise about jobs, so you might get lucky there.

However, do realise that not many jobs will be available due to the crisis.
